At a young age French-born Pauline Trigère met American designer Adele Simpson, who told her about the New York fashion world. In New York she found work at Ben Gerschel and later became assistant designer at Hattie Carnegie. In 1942 she opened her own fashion house and in the 1950s started to produce costume jewelry. Her clientele included singer Lena Horne. She has been credited with designing Patricia Neal's wardrobe in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Her vintage dresses have been worn by Winona Ryder and others.   The Chicago Vintage Clothing and Jewelry Show will take place March 1, 3pm to 8pm, March 2, 2019. 10am to 5pm at 5649 N.
